Originally posted by turnoviseous Well, my grateful tip is that when arguing on the net, always keep in mind what is the purpose of arguing. If someone is learning marxism, then good arguing for something can give you greater knowledge of marxism.
But in most cases its waste of time if you want to convince some religious fanatics into marxism, and if thats the only aim, itīs useless arguing then. I was not trying to get them to be Marxist. They started a religious onslaught, and I went to disprove God. He then, after I got after his main points, tried to refute some of the sciences. However, he got nowhere, for he only ended up refuting formal logic instead of what I was saying!:) Another thing that annoys me about that forum is a person that makes Bourgeois slanders against Marxism, and he thinks that he knows EVERYTHING about Marxism just because he read (and this is the only thing he has read) the first volume of Capital.

I believe the phrase of Karl Marx is more relevant today than ever before, so the question is: socialism or death, but death of the human race, the death of the planet, because capitalism has abandoned the planet, it is destroying the ecology of the planet..."

Sure, looks like a good one, good debating, but also, who is a religious zealot group in Christianity?

This thread is over five years old and was made when I was not nearly as well grounded in Marxism as I am now. At the time, I used zealot to define a religious fundamentalist. I am not too familiar with the Zealots of ancient times, unfortunately.
