Well, actually anarchists would have to apply same principles, as those of marxists, if not worse in practice, because of material conditions. Makhno, which is viewed by anarchists as an example Russian anarchist from the bolshevik era, used very authoritarian measures. I am discussing this matter with Rob Lyon at the moment, so I canīt tell you a lot about it at the moment.
Mahkno also wrote something about how anarchism cant be fully put into practice. I think he would have the experince to know too.

I have not really looked into this thread too much, given its age (I only started getting into dialectical materialism and getting basic understanding from late 2003 to mid 2004), but this makes for good reading.
I remember Lenin stating something about Anarchism being Bourgeois individualism in reverse. I will have to get a deeper look into this.
