I know theres lots of good quotes available, but can anyone beat these two gems..
"occupying Baghdad would have come at an unpardonable expense in terms of money, lives lost and ruined regional relationships."
Colin Powell 1992
"We should not march into Baghdad. To occupy Iraq would instantly shatter our coalition, turning the whole Arab world against us, and make a broken tyrant into a latter-day Arab hero . . . assigning young soldiers to a fruitless hunt for a securely entrenched dictator and condemning them to fight in what would be an unwinnable urban guerrilla war. It could only plunge that part of the world into even greater instability."
George Bush snr - 1991

This only proves that capitalists canīt be non compos mentis. They are smart. It is just very rare that they say smart things. Nor can they if they are to justify their "cause".

I don't know if this is some sort of quote contest or not, but I will post quotes I like.
This one describes the future under Capitalism:
"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever." -George Orwell's 1984

I believe the phrase of Karl Marx is more relevant today than ever before, so the question is: socialism or death, but death of the human race, the death of the planet, because capitalism has abandoned the planet, it is destroying the ecology of the planet..."
Hugo Chavez
