Turkish entry into northern Iraq
« on: March 23, 2003, 06:30:32 AM »

Yesterday I heard the news that Turkish Troops have gone over the border. American Imperialism is livid. This act is to strengthen Turkish capitalism in the north; in relation to the Kurds and ,I believe to stake a claim on the oil fields in northern Iraq. What do comrades think will be the likely scenario over the next few days?It certainly has led to a further destabilisation in this "coalition".

Also, a British military spokesman toay had to disguise his anger today at the latest "friendly fire" incident. This will have a profound effect on GB troops and Uk population at home and will strengthen the case against the war.

A development.
BBC R5 this morning reported that US special forces to move into northern Iraq. This is to confront Kurdish PUK in mountains by border with Iran.I think the concern for this region by US imperialismis not just to keep an eye on what the Turkish army might do .
According to the BBC the PUK is a fundamentalist group that hold some power in the area and obviously dont fit into Bush's game plan on how things should go.
