I asked the question if its true that all americans are fat, because one of our comrades has been in USA about 5 times already, with his father who went to business trips there, and he said that every 2nd american is fat. :D

We only find attractive what the media tells us we find attractive, a lot of the time. Hmm. The question then arises: Why do the bourgeois media want us to find slim people attractive and fat people ugly? I can't think of any plausible explanation.

I am the only male that is not fat (I am wiry, i.e. slender but decently strong, and stronger than I look) in my family.

You have probably noticed that some "polite" people donīt like to refer to fat people, but instead use phrase "strong" people, I donīt know the point of it tho...no offence, Im not saying you are fat (if that would offend you), but it just came to my mind...

Why do the bourgeois media want us to find slim people attractive and fat people ugly? I can't think of any plausible explanation. That's because there isn't one. Nobody pretended that everything about society today is logical - indeed it's usually illogical. I would imagine that the super-slim 'ideal' body shape arises from the chauvinism that has always existed in the bourgeois media. They think women should spend their lives staying ridiculously thin in order to be more attractive to them; hence they manipulate the media to try and make us think so too. It's just another aspect of the inequality endemic to capitalism and privilege.

I have heard of people say things like "large" in reference to such people. Also, I am not fat, "large," etc. I weigh 155 pounds (roughly 70.45 kilograms), which is average weight for someone of my height of five feet and ten inches (177.8 cm) and age (18). Therefore, wiry is not a reference to someone that is fat. It is defined as slender but strong.

Why do the bourgeois media want us to find slim people attractive and fat people ugly? I can't think of any plausible explanation. The cosmetics industry. But then again, there is the fast food industry... But they lie and say that greasy fatty hamburgers don't make you fatter... I am 185cm and about 79kilos. Look at my beautiful body!!!!

It's all another reason to believe in subjective human nature. It's a really good argument against liberals and rights who say "Communism is against human nature!"

What would the ruling class know about beauty? All they can offer 2/3rds of the world is war, poverty and squalor.
Humans are reduced to mere commodities. All their corporations feed off each other at our expense.
So-called celebrities play the role of the ideal,to be used and abused by the mega-rich.It is a mincing-machine they are put thru, many crack up and end up in drink/drug clinics etc.,they are the well-paid commodities, many look(ed) good, with little or no talent, and they all have a sell by date. Obesity is costing the west Ģ$billions in health costs. But it makes lots of sense if you run a company involved making money in fashion, films, food, drink or magazines that promote this trash.
