Enclosure Acts

Comrades,

do any of you know any good texts and analyses of the Enclosure Acts being forced through in 18th century England? Just as with slavery in Antiquity, this is an ambiguous phenomenon, I think. On the one hand the land reforms were necessary to develop the productive forces, on the other hands thousands of ordinary peasants drowned away as a result of the change in agricutural techniques. Perhaps this is an interesting topic to discuss as well.
