If they don't want to work, they'll emigrate, I guess.

The unanswered question is alienation - in a Socialist state people shall no longer be alienated from their labour and will want to work, even in a class society people enjoy work - as to what would happen to someone who still decides they still don't want to work - Socialism is a "lesser form of Communism" which works by the rules of "From each according to his ability to each according to his contribution" as Lenin derived from the bible "He who does not work, neither shall he eat" of course Communism is different, working by the principle of "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" - meaning that such a thing, regardless of how sad it is will no longer be a problem.

Well why don't you just look to Russia when they were pretty much Socialist.  This of course is a problem because there is no motivation to work.  You will get the same stuff without working.  there would have to be some penalty.  It just does not work because people are deep spirits who have dreams etc.  Socialism disallows for the achievement of them unless of course your dream is socialism.  I think we could adopt some ideas from it, but not implement it in full.

Accept what is there for you to have a work. This is for living.
