James Connolly was a marxist was just wondering if Michael Collins was one too the leader of the 1916 easter rising in Ireland

I believe he was actually a Nationalist and fairly centrist but I am not sure.

I don't know much about him, but I don't think he was a Marxist - only a revolutionary who fought for his homeland.
Anyway, in every war there are too radical methods, even I would rather support Ireland for their freedom.

This will only give you a trite understanding of Collins, but if you can watch the films Michael Collins followed by the Wind that Shakes the Barely.
The former will show you Collins life, while the later is more revolutionary (i.e. those who fought alongside Collins, then fought against him).
