Fidel Castro
« on: January 29, 2010, 08:39:12 PM »

Is Fidel Castro a Marxist as Che Guevara was during his lifetime? also do you think that Fidel Castro is unfairly demonized by the USA as well as Hugo Chavez? and Che Guevara labelled a "hero" to some a "monster" to others?

Fidel Castro is not a Marxist, at least not in the way we see it. He does have to have credit given for helping Cuba from a counter-revolution. Castro is of course demonized by Washington, why wouldn't he be? Which left leader that interfered with US Imperialism over Latin America hasn't been "demonized"? Though I'm by no means uncritical of Castro, and Cuba is quite a ways from socialism (which could only come about through genuine workers democracy), we have to support Cuba as well as Venezuela and Bolivia and other countries in the region, against US Imperialism and defend the Planned Economy of Cuba.

Cuab is best country in world and history of being best at being socialism .The second best the USSR well China and North Korea being the worst.Well socialism in one country does not really work so I'm shock Cuba is not like North Korea  ,China or like other 3 world country.

Look at Haiti and Jamaica and Cuba and you will see the eviles in Haiti and Jamaica .  Well Fidel Castro has really not been running the country for past 5 years or more do to his old age.

nationalism thinks proud loyalty and devotion to a nation but nationalize is better becuse the business is to state ownership  for equity and fairness rather than market principles.

Well I hate the Britch imperial system  has I hate apples

Cuba is a deformed workers state, and though live is a lot better there than in surrounding areas, still it is not a workers paradise. Cuba isn't as degenerated as other proletarian bonapartist states. Actually it's the only Proletarian Bonapartist State that could achieve socialism without a revolution, through reforms. This with the nationalized planned economy is why we need to defend Cuba against counter- revolution!
