Is someone in touch with Swiss politics/culture? I really need this explained to me. From what I've gathered, it was a nationalist party pressing for the ban. Even though there are only 4 minarets in the country to begin with.
Being American, I got the Switzerland is neutral stereotype ingrained into me. That and Switzerland doesn't make the news to often. So this is kinda, really surprising.
