Strike in Croatia!

Hello, comrades!

On Tuesday, 12th May country service will strike against non-rise salaries.  Schools, Medicine, and intellectual people will strike! Last year they strike for raise of salaries, now when crisis came, government shrink their salaries! Now they are going to strike against it! Maybe workers join them and pensioners. We will see.

In other case, all students from Universities are striking for free education! Education is expensive and we are "Land of Education".  They want free education, just this. They are all blockading Universities and protesting. One year in University is 1000 Euro. Its expensive and some of poor excellent students cant go on University! Its catastrophic!

I want to know are strikes   in your country often now? Are you involved in some of protestings?

Comrade. Great to hear about the militancy in Croatia. I myself are from Greece, so I am really interested in the Situation in the Balkans.
In Montreal where I live, the students last year waged major strikes for free education. In Dawson College, the Marxists led a 3 day strike against student fees!
The working class as well last year marched in the tens of thousands against the moves of the government to privatize healthcare! 

In general, workers everyone are fighting against the capitalist attacks, from Montreal to Croatia and from Argentina to Denmark! There is a need though of a marxist leadership, which will lead the working class to power and end with the capitalist misery!

Im glad for you. Students are blocking Universities 3 weeks!  I hate government in our country. I will join Social Democrats or Workers Party.  Im mad because all they are thieves no matter what ideology. Embarrassing!

Not long til the strike now, do report back to us to let us know how it goes. Great to hear the work the comrades are doing in Montral too - read your May Day report Oi! and the one on marxist.com, sounds like the comrades are doing some good work. In a manner of speaking we've seen a big shift in thinking in Britain too. Recently we have witnessed the first factory occupations that this country has seen in 30 years - inspired by our Irish comrades in Waterford Crystal and Belfast Visteon. The Ford/Visteon occupations ended in victory, which goes to show that militancy pays. Hopefully we'll see more of this to come. It's difficult times though for most workers. My mum works in a branch of KFC and she says they are getting literally hundreds of applications these days for individual vacancies. Hard times.

Simon, are the social democrats and the workers party both quite big organisations in Croatia? What you say about all the partys being lead by thieves certainly rings true here. You're right as well to join the big workers' parties like the social democrats too. The marxist leadership of the working class must come from the working class itself through the experiences of struggle against other right-wing, bureaucratic tendencies within the labour movement.

Our country is corrupted in the most of it.  I cant describe you this. You live in England, imperialistic country.  We are like barbarians. Its sad but its true.

Many people in parties want change, but others are like parasites. They all want to go into the parliament and get big salary!  I want big changes in our politic. We need to clean those parties! We have 150 parties in Croatia! Its too big for one small country!   example: right wing parties, Croatian Party of Rights, Croatian Clean Party of Rights! Its too idiotic!

Social Democrats Party are leader opposition, socialist workers party is weak and have many Yugoslav communist (idiots)

So thats why we need to clean parties from pensioners and fosils! We need Youth power, not Stalinists
