Sure thing. I've been busy so I haven't been on in a while.

While I'm here, I want to talk about the Sam Webb interview on Glenn Beck not to long ago. I've never been more frustrated in my entire life. A communist finally gets some air time, finally gets on T.V. and has a chance to convice millions of people to join our cause and he stumbled all over himself. He failed to address common mistakes such as:

1. Wasn't Hitler a socialist? (Glenn even found a connection between "National Socialism" and "Nationalized Socialist". Webb failed to mention that Hitler calling himself a socialist was demagogy)

2. What about Stalin? (CPUSA are the wrong people to ask about this anyway but for Webb to just outright deny any association with Stalin was just ridiculous)

3. You supported Obama so that means he is a socialist right? (He tried to distance himself from Obama but just ended up comparing their polcies and voice support without pointing out that Obama is a CAPITALIST)

Not to mention that he let Beck twist his words around and reienforce streotypes such as when Webb took a sip of his water (he calls Beck "comrade" as he does this. Christ...)

The whole thing was just mortifying. We need more people who actually know what their talking about and with the fortitude to correct these conservatives to appear on T.V.

I agree that Webb's interview with Back was pretty terrible, but I actually expected worse. To be fair to Webb, Beck is perhaps the most annoying (and crazy) person on TV; Webb was at a severe disadvantage to begin with. Also, the best thing Webb did was to direct people to the CPUSA website. But on the points you wrote, you are correct, and especially the third point shows the rut the CPUSA is in and why they, and other reformist parties, have no future other than joining the democrats instead of being their cheerleaders. The third point was also no doubt the primary reason Webb was invited on FOX.

Indeed. I suppose Webb could have done worse. I guess I was expecting better, even from the CPUSA. Beck clearly had an agenda of "proving" Obama is a socialist which was the whole point of his "Communism in America" series. Webb played right into his hands but I will probably take more than some insane right wing pundit to discredit the communist movement. We can only hope that this whole thing plays in our favor.

Hopefully, this whole thing does play in our favor, considering in my veterains remembrance ceremony, senator of Massachusetts said Bush was like a pile of dog crap.
so these politicians aren't as smart as most people think (LOL)
