Greetings Youth for International Socialism and I use that word "youth" very loosely.  I am 66, retired  and still a youth.  I no longer buy the lies they taught me in school about America and the world.  I know that both US parties are useless tools of the corporate megapolis that crushs us all.  We will not be bought, we will fight in the streets and we will say no to their plan for world domination.  We the workers and the retired workers will fight to the bitter conclusion of the fight for survival.  I am honored to be part of this web site!

I want to ask you out of mere curiosity have you held Marxist/leftist views since your "youth" or have you developed them recently or later in life. And if it is the latter what made you change your mind.

I ask because I am from Ireland and I just had my American cousins over. They are fairly conservative and it was the first time they met me since I developed Marxist ideas. I was a bit shocked by them reiterating the kind of crap coming from Fox News. It was like they were reciting an indoctrinated dogma that democracy was the only way forward and that democracy is only achievable in a free market economy, etc..
