« on: December 12, 2007, 04:35:05 PM »

I was thinking today all those oppose to wars, monopoly, imperialism, big business ,the rich low pay and long work times and Bush and such.May be its best to play into the  capitalist had so this would be the catalyst to the revolution?

Keep in mind wars cost the US economy billions of money !!Well voting the democratic may just put a band aid on the problem .

A good point and something I thought about during the Australian election.

The majority of Australia strongly disliked the actions John Howard took in 2006 with the anti-union IR laws allowing employees to sack who ever they wished.  Come 2007, we had a new Labor leader who continued the rhetoric of Kim Beazely (former leader thereof).  It was in March 2007, when I saw that Rudd was simply the political replacement for Howard.

Rudd was also the 'people´s saviour'.  The 'revolutionary' of the working class consciousness of 2007.  At every point, polls put him up as the better than Howard.  And the subsequent election of Rudd would soothe the hatred of the working class against the bourgiousie.  This was something I noticed a few weeks before the election actually took place.

My alternative thoughts led me to think that if John Howard was allowed to continue his reign as PM, the proletariat would start striking and the left would actually be strengthened by this.

The problems with this especially in places like Australia where the last major proletariat struggle against the state was 150 years ago with Eureka stockade, is that people will just accept the changes and subjugate themselves to the rules of capitalism and the bourgiousie.

Following the election of Rudd, I do not know what has happened since then apart from Australia signing Kyoto and the threats to censor the internet as I am on exchange in Germany.  I have heard that the 'Kevin 07' and crap has been forgotten by most people.  I think I need a comrade from Australia to fill in that end of the story.

I've heard this argument before. I wish you could get enough people in on it.

I heard something kind of similar. You could always join them. Get enough Socialists to join the Republican party and you completely dismantle the platform.

If it was not for the anti-Bush people  , the US would be in North Korea and Iran and would cost billions more.More offshoring and low pay at work .

More profiting on healthcare and less people with healthcare coverage.More jails and more people in jail that cost money.Bigger dept, bigger army, more money for the army, more wars, more poor people, less middle class, more homeless, more people out of work, more people who do not have enough money to buy a home.

It will be very bad and this will be a  catalyst to the revolution. But when they start removing freedom and privacy and bringing in a police state how are you to have a revolution?

If you go and protest and this is what is going to happen.
