mrbojangles -> Ravonettes? Are they "big" in England or USA or where do you come from, cause here in DK they have never really been that popular.

RATM - hate Audioslave, but Zack de la rocha is stil going strong without the rest of RATM.
KRS One
Clawfinger
Nirvana
Conflict
Dead kenedys
Sex pistols
Turbonegro
Pink Floyd
Testament
Biohazard

Stonesour
Murderdolls
Slipknot (well... its a pop-concept, but i like it anyway)
Korn
System of a down
Everything with Max Cavelera (Sepultura, Nailbomb and Soulfly - havent heard of other bands he is playing in?)
Metallica (heard them since i was 8-9 years old, but they should have stopped after black album.)
Antiflag
Hole
Doors, Steppeulvene (danish band) and general experimenting psychedellic music from the 70s.
Datsuns
AC/DC
Coldplay
Kaizers Orchestra
Slayer
Pantera
Some old Kashmir songs
The movement
Pearl Jam
etc...

Do any of you know the band Melvins? I've been big fan of Nirvana when i was younger, and i saw in the programme to this years Roskilde Festival, that they were playing and they come from aberdeen and the seattle-scene and should have inspired Nirvana and been a part of the first grounge-wave... Actually the nirvana song love buzz should have been written to the singer in melvins - buzz osbourne, but i heard them on the festival and they were so bad!! but maybe they just were on drugs or something, i dont know their music really - anybody knows anything about them?

And og course L:RON:HARALD - a gangster from the southern jutland in DK, he do not do anything else that cruize in his Opel Kadet on his little peasant island and shoot german tourists if they try to be smart. Off course he also fight a lot with the other gangsters, and its not a problem for him to knock out a whole regiment og sergents from the sergent-school. Yeeah!

Hey

The Raveonettes aren't really that big in the UK. THey are still quite unknown. I only bought their cd after reading a small article about them in the NME. They were supposed to play glastonbury last week but they had to cancel cos none of their equipment turned up.

cheers

The Melvins are cool, I don't know why anyone would like any grunge seeing as how it is just part of the corporations reselling an old idea, nirvana was one of the worst grunge bands anyways Mudhoney is 4000 times better

and remember

ain't no party like an S Club Party

Nirvana were one of the best bands of all time, love them or hate them no one can deny how influential and revolutionary they were.

I love Mudhoney too of course, I saw them live in Glasgow last year and they rocked.

Revolutionary?

All they did was make horrible music and kurt made a shitty guitar called the jag-stang, thats all they did.

Can you please explain how faking teenage angst made them any diffrent than the shitty 80's goth bands?

Friends,
obviously I'm the only one in touch with the actual "youth."  I like rap and some music from my own country.  Do any of you actually listen to rap, it is actually deep once you go beneath the meaningless "hip-hop"?

Music is just a matter of taste, no point slamming someone else's.... I will say that Nirvana are vastly overrated though, there were bands doing the same thing years before anyone had heard of Kurt. They just popularised alternative, which if anything caused a drop in quality and originality.
 Anyway, some of my favourites:
Killing Joke
Skinny Puppy
Joy Division
JAMC
Throbbing Gristle
The Stooges
Bauhaus
Magazine
Cabaret Voltaire
