The Socialist Party of Michigan is holding its State Convention on Saturday, July 19, in Room 2195 of the School of Management at the University of Michigan-Dearborn: 4901 Evergreen Road, Dearborn, MI 48128. The State Convention will open at 9:30 AM, begin at 10:00 AM and conclude by 8:00 PM. An after-Convention party (barbeque and swimming) is in the works at Martin Schreader's home in Detroit -- full details shall be provided at the Convention.

- adoption of SPMI by-laws and platform
- discussion of and voting on resolutions and amendments
- election of SPMI officers
- eleciton of SPMI delegates to the National Convention
- discussion on the future goals and tasks of the SPMI
- discussion on the 2004 elections
- keynote speaker (to-be-announced)
The Convention is open to the public and all members are strongly encouraged to attend. Individuals are welcome to come late and to leave early as necessary. We hope to have members from across Michigan and guests from other states in attendence. Lets make this Convention a success!
