as much as i would dearly love to see an iranian revolution i do not believe this will be the case for following reasons:
lack of leadership lack of education american interests at stake (as in iraq) pro-american people
please correct me and tell me that there will be a successful revolution!

I'm not sure about Iran but I have to correct you on one thing. pro-american people I don't think that Iranians are pro-american. I have studied the subject and as far as I know Iranians are not pro-american. The Iranians still remember the massive american support to the Shah. And even though they want to get rid of the Mullahs nobody want to return to the time before the revolution, except from a little clique of rich Iranians living in America.

lol, those little clique are funny idiots, true idiots, i got their satelite channel, they are so shitty
however, on the issue of pro-american, although ur point is correct, it duz not apply to the majority of people in Iran, ie the massive under 30 population, these dont remember the shah. They want to go to america, they want to wear american idols such as micheal jackson on their shirt, surely this is pro-american

I'm still not sure about how pro-american they are. Around a year ago a danish newspaper had a correspondent down in Iran, talking to a lot of young people. And even though there of course were some who thought America was great, the majority didn't seem to share that view. Also I don't recall the slogans being shouted at the demonstrations to be pro-american. But then again it is hard to find out what is going on in Iran.

And if they even were pro-american, this can change very fast. The consciousness of the working class is as dialectical as everything else, and in the midst of a revolution the consciousness do change really fast. Also i dont think its bad to be pro-american, it is nothing wrong with americans (excepts some few very rich capitalists) either it isn't wrong to be a fan of michael jackson as long you have the right classinterrests - and i think the iranians have this.
As i see the situation (ok i've been on festival in 8 days and im very tired and unfortunately i have not had the time to check out the things going on in Iran recently). But i agree that there is a lack of leadership. But i dont think it would be a problem with the education - under capitalism these people will never get a possibility to get educated, not before the capitalists need it and i dont think they will need that in countries like Iran the next many years. Of course there is capitalists interests in Iran, but thats the situation in every country in the world, and the revolution can succeed anyway - its just a question about the right strategies.
Comradely, Michaelk
