Dear Students, Educators, and Activists,
The March 18th anti-war/counterrecruitment demonstration at the Army Recruitment Station at Fordham Rd. and Grand Concourse in the Bronx is just around the corner. The demo will begin at 12 noon. The coalition of Bronx Educators and Students to Stop the War (BESSW) encourages everyone to continue to build for this important mobilization of anti-war sentiment on the third anniversary of the Iraq occupation.
BESSW has some good news to share. The screening of "Soldiers Speak Out," a brand new documentary starring exclusive interviews with Iraq vets, will go on! Thanks to the organization "Part of the Solution" (POTS), we have a new location for the film screening in the vicinity of the demonstration site. Information for the film screening is listed below and will be distributed to the crowd in a short flyer.
What: Film Screening of "Soldiers Speak Out" (2006, 30 min.)
When: 2 PM (after the demonstration)
Where: Part of the Solution (POTS) Desmond House 2771 Decatur Ave Between 197th & 198th St.
Please keep organizing for the 18th, and plan to attend the film screening for an excellent film and lively discussion.
