Meeting was great, with 35+ people present (including 3 Venezuelans). Jeremy Dear (gen sec of the National Union of Journalists) spoke to introduce the meeting. Then we showed the video "another way is possible" about the Venezuelan revolution (which unfortunately had to be ffwd at points because of lack of time), then we had Jorge Martin speaking on his experiences on recent trips to Venezuela, and particularly on workers control of the oil industry and finally we had a lively debate. An NUJ member moved that the meeting should send greetings to the newly formed UNT trade union confederation in Venezuela and this was agreed unanimously (there were members of UNISON, NUJ, AEEU, PCS and maybe some others). Afterwards we went to the pub for a drink.
