Would anyone be able to point me in a direction where I can find employment figures for the USSR?

Also, is it true that the state owned economys of Cuba and the USSR are/were obliged to hire anyone that turned up at a factory etc?

Is this sort of thing just isolated to these places?

Does this lead to decrease in productivity and an increase in payroll?

If I sound vague it is because I have no idea what I am talking about.

Can anyone help me?

from my limited knowledge of the workings of the deformed workers state of the USSR, it was full employment, unlike in Britain where as a capitalist country where employment is sacrificed to keep inflation down.
