I own a copy of Land And Freedom. I just wish it was available in dvd format. The VCR is outdated. Nearly everyone/place has a dvd player now. And Im tired of borrowing a VCR from a friend to watch it.

Oh and Land and Freedom. Great movie. Never seen any other movies by the director.

Huge fan!  Land and Freedom, Bread and Roses, Wind That Shakes the Barley, Carla's Song, etc.  All great movies.  I didn't like the one about the transport workers though, it moved rather slowly.  Some good directing and moments in it even though.

I just went and saw "The Wind That Shakes The Barley", extremely good movie. Touching and very brutal.

Yeah, it's just coming to theatres in the US next month!!!  Luckily I had already downloaded it several months ago after the review on marxist.com.  I assumed it wasn't going to get distribution in the US, and it would appear that I wasn't far off.

I haven't seen any of his movies (I am not a cinema fan), but I should try to watch some of them.

Too bad Land and Freedom is only on VHS.  I don't even own a VCR!

Just read this today, Tierra y Libertad (Land and Freedom) was the name of an anarchist paper. Fun little fact.

I wonder if there is any way to get it via some P2P program and thus have it on DVD format.  Anyone know?

You can stream Land and Freedom there.  I tried to embed it, but it wouldn't let me.  All comrades should see this movie.  It is pretty good. Of course, only view it if you already own a copy. ;)

Just saw "The Conformist", by Bertolucci. Great portraiture -- there's a point in the movie where people are singing the Internationale (!)
