The New board set up
« on: November 07, 2005, 07:03:30 PM »

After a few weeks of PC break down I am pleased to see the new lay out for the board.
Can someone tell me how I can find out who is viewing the board at any time?
That bit seems to have disappeared!!
Or am I not looking in the right places?

Nice layout.

And yes you can very much so view who is online at the moment. Its in the same place as the old forum layout. Just to display who's currently on, the user themselves have to turn on the feature of "Showing your online status to others." This can be located in the "Profile" button on top and then in "Account Related Settings."

And this has nothing to do with anything I just said, I'm just testing these out. Since the smilie faces are giving me sass and cannot be displayed, I want to see if they will be displayed in a post.

Glad to hear you like the new layout, I tried to make it as much like the old one.

So, for your information, we were kind of forced to change to another forum since the previous one was insecure and there was a possibility of getting hacked through that Vbulletin board. So we changed to a Simplemachines forum, a board that is also easier to administrate.

Avatars should work now, and I'm looking into the smileys.

Testing --> ;D   ::)  :-\  :-*  :'(

It is good that the board was changed for greater security.  I was quite irritated when someone cracked marxist.com and Hands Off Venezuela.  The layout and appearance seem nice. :)  It also seems to load faster than the old board.

Hello,

I havent checked this forum months now, have been really busy.

Anyway, some newly registered users show "0" post count. I believe post cont is not working.

P.S: Is it possible to dissable the crappy ugly smilies? I find text smilies more fun, at least i can imagine they are more beautiful :). Nah, they really are way better, admit it!!!

I dont want you to disable them for everybody, I just dont seem to find the option to not to view smilies. Is it even possible?

At the bottom of the box you write your text in there is an option "Additional Options..."

I think you'll find what you are looking for.

Also I would like to say, Neat feature this is.

I agree with igor.
Maybe we could have a discussion on the way the topics are divided out.
