Indeed, that's a classic one. Good essay from Trotsky! Comrade from Slovenia and Paul Smith, I still have to answer your posts of last week, but at the moment things are hectic here: I am in the middle of my exams and I do not have the time to surf the internet much.

As to the art question: in Alan Woods' article on Marxism and Art there are also some words devoted to this 'proletarian' culture concept, which was in essence the product of a degenerated bureaucracy. And if I remember well, in the Russia book from Ted Grant there are also some good references. I'll try to look this up later.
