Hello everyone! I'm Gonzalo and I live in Chile. I've spent the last weeks reading the Marxist FAQ on this website, and I'm really intrigued... I'm really looking forward to taking part in the discussions, although I'm here mostly to learn. I've always agreed with socialist ideas but I don't know enough to answer when someone critisizes socialism... Anyway, I just wanted to ask you all to be patient with me, since I'm a rookie preparing to join the battlefront! See you in the politics section!:D

Hehe, nice to see you too Daymare, but there's a problem... I don't really know too much about the specific groups of leftist ideas, I'm hoping to be able to make up my mind by reading these discussions, and also by reading the marxist website... I'm a rookie communist, but I'll do my best to catch up soon so I can help in the fight... About Lenin, I like him but I don't know about his formal ideas... I hope you all can train me!:D

The history of Chile provides us with a treasure-house of lessons that must be learned by the new generation of revolutionmaries in Latinamerica. I couldn't agree with you more. I believe that we have a lot to learn from Chile. We had the first democratically elected socialist government, we also saw what the ruling classes are prepared to do to prevent such a system from consolidating. I believe that we must use Chile as an example for all future socialist countries!
About the web page, so far I've learned a lot from it... there's so much information that I didn't know where to start! Anyway, see you in the discussions...
