Pakistan, and other forum organizing issues
« on: April 18, 2005, 04:52:23 AM »

Pakistan is currently in a very explosive situation involving the international and the pakistan trade union defence campaign.

I think it's important, considering how involved the organization is there, that there be a forum about that.

I also think, though I'm unsure if this can be done under this forum software, that we should be making use of subforums, rather than foisting everything on the front page.

For example, "Ongoing Revolutionary Movements" as one forum name, with subforums in it for pakistan, venezuela, iran, etc...

"Marxist theory" as one, with the subheadings as subforums.

Etc... I think most of the categories there could be made into forums that contain everything under them as subforums.

It's just neater and more organized that way, and doesn't make it seem so weird when people see one of these subforums with little in it.

Yes, main problem I have is that there are so many forums on the main page and so little to justify it. I think either having subforums or amalgamating related forums together where appropriate for a board of this size might not be a bad idea.
