Homeless Iraq vets showing up at shelters

But Boone's group says that nearly 500,000 veterans are homeless at some point in any given year, so the VA is only serving 20 percent of them.

I read this story yesterday. It is very depressing. It is incredible to me how the Iraq war went forward with no consideration of the lives it would ruin. These vets are one manifestation, the extensive Iraqis killed are another. The scars of war will be worn by US troops and Iraqis for decades.
