I was watching a show about Reno cops and they had a exchange program with cops across the sea and got a british constable for a day. He was talking about how they dont carry guns....is this true?
It is to a certain extent. Police on patrol in British airports carry machine guns. In fact they carry them at most transport stations, trains etc. although the home secretary over here Davis Blunkett is planning on equipping more officeras with weapons and constables with tasers.
Hi POUM.Generally over here cops dont carry guns.The other night I got stopped by the police and its quite obvious that they are unarmed.MattVesty is correct though at airports they do and each county policeforce has a certain section of officers who are gun trained to be used in circumstances when needed. Hmm, over here all cops wear guns. I was only two times on an airport in slovenia and there was no cops....weird.... Maybe I just missed them
