here in the USA May Day isn't even acknowledged as a labor holiday at all anymore by the most of the population, the ruling class cleverly "moved" it to September, the day is called "Labor Day", and is usually associated with barbequeing hamburgers and hotdogs... so much for the Hay Market strikes/riots...

May Day greetings to all comrades,
just back from the London May Day demo. There were some 5,000 plus at the TUC demo, fewer trade union banners than last year I think, lots of Kurds and Turks, quite a few young people, a few boring speeches at the end (a couple interesting ones).
there were probably 2,000 at the anarchist thing, walking around central London under heavy police escort.

Here's a late May day greeting from me also. In Copenhagen it was raining most of the day so this of course meant that there wasn't as many people as there normally is. But it also meant that the people who showed up was people who actually fellt that May day meant something. Of course there was also some secterian demonstrations, anarchists etc, but they are not worth mentioning. By the way I read the WIL leaflet and I think it is very good. Keep up the good work comrades! Comradely Teis
