Sorry, i misunderstood you to be a Sosialistiliitto member. What other leftist groups are in Finland. I've heared there is CWI group in Oulu, are they strong? Do you have some kinds of big demonstrations, strikes etc?
Well Oulu is at the other end of this country so I don't know that much about organizations there. However I very much doubt that they are that strong, because Oulu is at the moment a quite right wing city full of capitalists and people who follow them. Even the leftist parties that are closer to center do not manage to get very many votes or a big following in that city.
There is an organization that is called Communist Part of Finland (CPF). I believe in most of their policies, but they have not had a member in the parliament for a very long time and are a bit, well dieing... I went to their May day march and it was pityfully small. Here is their English page, I don't know if it is any good:
http://www.skp.fi/ Just click English somewhere on the left (or swedish...)
There are demonstrations here but not as much as there used to be. And there is a lot of media coverage on demonstrating at the moment, because our government will very likely pass a law that says it is illegal to hide your face (e.g. where a mask) in demonstrations. There is a lot of opposition of course...
I would say that in general the unions are quite well organized, but not all of them. Like the teachers union is very right wing, it would not go on strike no matter what.
